Creativenav implements Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for HVC in 3 months, on time and within budget.

How it Began

It all started with a phone call in July 2024 between David and myself, to discuss what Dynamics 365 Business Central could do for HVC Ltd. – one of the pioneers of commercial goods trade in Mauritius and founded in 1952.  The requirements were clear: they could not keep working with the incumbent system, Proginov.  The system was hosted in France and latency meant that access was intermittent and there were other issues like lack of Lot Tracking and it was not a system, which could take HVC forward in increasing revenue.

We are pleased to say the Business Central installation is on the cloud and there has been no latency or internet issues, with the sales team even using BC in the supermarkets and on the road.

The next step was to identify the key areas of functionality that Proginov had and needed implemented in Business Central.  That quickly followed with an add-on from Websan Inc, namely the Inbound Container Handling App.  It is a ‘plug and play’ and was downloaded on a sandbox for a free trial to see if it met the requirements.  Suffice to say it did and succeeded with minimal time in fulfilling the requirements of HVC Ltd.

There were also special prices and campaign promotions, and those were fulfilled with ‘out of the box’ Business Central.  Bonded management of goods and Assembly Orders requirements would also be met with unsurprising ease.   

The proposal was signed end of August 2024, work started in September 2024 and HVC went Live on the 11th of December 2024 without any issues.  We have just gone through the warranty period and as expected without any upheaval and we are pleased to say it has been a successful implementation.
